Amanda Karpus (nee Coyne) was born and raised in Northeast Ohio. She is a mom, a wife, and a public education advocate who wants to continue building on the transparency, student achievement, and fiscal accountability she’s worked to help grow in the Parma City School District. Amanda serves on the Legislative and Policy Committees in the district and helped co-found the district-wide initiative Embrace All. Amanda serves on the Ohio School Boards Associations governance board for Public Education Advocacy, is the PCSD District Delegate, and is a member of the OSBA Executive Committee Northeast Region. Additionally, in the past, she has served on the PTA Scholarship committee, STEM Advisory Council member, and the Focus on the Future Facilities Usage and District Operations Committee.

WIFE AND MOTHER OF SIX

In 2010, Amanda married Ron and they became a blended family. Ron graduated from Parma Senior High in 1999 and works for IPS as a Project Manager. Together they have 6 children and all have come up through PCSD; Brady (PSH Class of 2019) is currently at Bowling Green State University, Frankie is a Junior at Valley Forge, Hailey a Sophomore at Valley Forge, Gino is an 8th grader at Valley Forge, Scarlett a 4th grader at Pleasant Valley, and Guinevere a 2nd grader at Pleasant Valley. They reside on Springwood Road in Parma Heights and are active in many organizations throughout their community.

Amanda is a Valley Forge Alumni, 2003. During her time as a Patriot, Amanda participated in the district’s visual communications vocational program VISCOM.
